At the Housing Observatory Chair of the Polytechnic University of Valencia, we have been analysing a challenge that is now central to the urban and social agenda: access to housing. What began as an academic debate is now a concern shared by public administrations, professionals and citizens.
In this context, the International Academic Real Estate Congress will hold a particularly important edition in 2026. AIRE’26 – X International Academic Real Estate Congress will take place in May 2026 at the Higher Technical School of Building Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Valencia and marks the beginning of a new scientific and professional phase for the congress, coinciding with its tenth anniversary.
After ten editions, AIRE has established itself as a leading forum in which academics and real estate professionals analyse the residential market based on data, evidence and technical rigour, with a clear social vocation. AIRE’26 reinforces this role by incorporating peer-reviewed communications, a scientific committee and a book of proceedings with an ISBN, without losing its applied focus.
The edition is structured around four strategic areas: affordable housing and access to housing; industrialisation and quality in construction; financial and fiscal models of the residential market; and data, social observation and evidence-based public policies.
AIRE’26 aims to consolidate itself as a meeting place and forum for reflection.
